"Running Rebels" for Running Rebel Studios, 6 Charles Place, Brooklyn, 2012. 35 ft wide x 15 ft high

Im not one to pat myself on the back but I think my 1st Shards wall out awesome! I treated this like a giant canvas and the wall has changed many times over before coming to this result and has looked "done" quite a few times, but this felt right. I hope I can find a few walls in the city for the next few. Check out some detail shots below...

Ive been watching alot of anime lately and my fondness for giant robots and graffiti led me to the 5th installment of my Graffitron illustration series. Im fleshing out the characters in full body non action poses to work on the silhouette's of each character (how ever many there are. I have no idea,Im just going with the ideas). More soon!

(New York, NY) Hip-Hop's deepest roots are Caribbean. Just look at some of the pioneers of Hip-Hop: Kool Herc (Jamaican),Grand Master Flash (Barbados) and Afrika Bambaataa (Jamaica and Barbados roots). Yet this connection seems to be forgotten more often than not. F.O.K.U.S. present "Pillars of Hip-Hop 3" to begin the discussion of this forgotten connection.

"Pillars of Hip-Hop 3: Caribbean Connection to Hip-Hop" presented by F.O.K.U.S. and in partnership with Scratch DJ Academy- NY will be a discussion and art show centered around the Caribbean Connection to Hip-Hop. This event will take place on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Scratch DJ Academy, 32 Cooper Square, New York, NY 10003.

Joe Conzo and Lumumba Bandele will discuss this topic and take your questions. Following the discussion will be the opening night reception where the audience can view the art work of Joe Conzo and See One. Come view the visual art, dance to the sounds of DJ Scampi and Kraff Swagger and enjoy drinks and snacks from deLIFEful foods and Mi-Isla Coquito.

Groupe GRAFF will showcase the work of Keith Haring, Richard Hambleton, Jeremy Penn, Crash, See One, LA II, Jeff Henriquez and AVone.

About the Dorian Grey Gallery:

The Dorian Grey Gallery has become the East Village’s hottest art attraction for emerging art. The gallery is a dynamic retail venue geared towards showcasing both established and emerging artists. With a keen eye focused on “street art” and the New York emerging art scene the Dorian Grey Gallery continues to be the premier exhibition space and “voice” for the numerous local undiscovered and rising artistic talents.
